The AQQA sponge filter features a 9-layer ribbing shape sponge design that combines bio-filtration, oxygenation, and physical filtration in one unit. The sponge can be easily removed from the filter for cleaning or replacement. An extra pair of sponges is provided, and it is important to soak the new sponge completely before replacing it.

Ceramic bio filter balls are included, which help with further filtration of hazardous substances while also cultivating nitrifying bacteria. These ceramic balls can be replaced with other filter materials, such as activated carbon, as needed.

The outlet pipe is extendable and can rotate 360 degrees, allowing you to adjust the outlet according to the size of your tank and your specific requirements.

The sponge size is 1.97 x 4.33 inches, and it is recommended for tanks from 10 to 40 gallons. Large: The outlet pipe is 11.6 inches tall and can be extended to 16.9 inches. The sponge size is 2.36 x 5.12 inches, and it is recommended for tanks from 15 to 55 gallons.
